Caring for your jewellery
Jewellery is frequently viewed as an investment and holds significant sentimental value for many individuals. Thus, caring for your jewellery is essential to ensure it remains beautiful for years.

Cleaning Gold
Gold jewellery can quickly lose its shine due to fingerprints and dirt. Here are some tips to restore its brilliance. If your piece has gemstones or pearls, clean carefully to avoid damage.
For cleaning, use a jewellery-specific solution or follow these steps:
1. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with lukewarm water. Avoid extreme temperatures.
2. Soak the jewellery for 10 minutes to loosen dirt.
3. Use a soft-bristled brush, like an unused toothbrush, to gently clean, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and dirt.
5. Dry gently with a lint-free cloth or let it air dry.
Remember, gold is a soft metal, so handle it gently to avoid scratching.

Cleaning Silver
Silver tarnishes over time due to exposure to oxygen and sulphur, leading to dull or black jewellery. While tarnishing is unavoidable, it doesn't damage the metal and can be cleaned easily.
To prevent tarnishing, regularly wear your silver jewellery, store it in airtight bags, and avoid humid environments. You'll find these bags in the bottom of our jewellery boxes. Remove rings and bracelets when washing your hands to prevent soap residue.
When your silver looks dull, it’s time to clean it. You can use a specialist cleaning solution or cloth designed for silver. Alternatively, follow these steps:
1. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with lukewarm water.
2. Soak the jewellery for ten minutes to loosen dirt.
3. Use a soft-bristled brush, like an unused toothbrush, to gently clean, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and dirt.
5. Let it air dry.
